Vicente Ortigosa papers : Mexico : D and LS, 1864-1873.

Collection of papers, originals and copies, relating to the career of Vicente Ortigosa. Deals primarily with his posts in Maximilian's empire as Councilor of State; as Inspector of Roads and Bridges, and of the Mexico City-Chalco and other railways; as plenipotentiary for negotiations with the Hanseatic League; and as engineer on the Mexico Valley drainage project. Includes a number of signed letters from members of Maximilian's cabinet.
